About Diligenta
Diligenta, TCS’s UK FCA regulated subsidiary was established in 2005 to specialise in the provision of business process outsourcing (BPO) services for the UK Life & Pensions industry.
With its head office in Peterborough, Diligenta also has offices in Liverpool, Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Bristol, Exeter, Salisbury, Dorking, Manchester and Preston.
Diligenta entered the UK Life & Pensions marketplace in 2006 by securing a £486 million deal with the Phoenix Group (formerly known as the Pearl Group). Offering a full BPO, including the administration of 3.6 million policies, Diligenta provides a number of the Phoenix Group companies with call centre, back office administration, IT, HR, finance and accounting services.
In January 2008 Diligenta secured its second client when it won a contract to deliver BPO services to Sun Life Financial of Canada's UK operations (SLF UK). The services, which commenced in May 2008, will be worth more than £100 million over the life of the contract and involves administering a further 500,000 life and pensions policies.
In September 2010 Diligenta extended its relationship with the Phoenix Group when it took on the administration of a further 1.7 million policies.
On 9 November 2011 TCS / Diligenta announced a major new deal with Friends Life, following an agreement to assume the responsibility for the administration of 3.2 million of their policies. The agreement, effective 1 March 2012, is worth £1.37 billion over a term of 15 years.
This major deal underpins Diligenta’s position in the Life & Pensions BPO market place and takes the number of policies Diligenta now administers to just under 8 million policies.
