Network Solutions Architect/Technical Lead

The main purpose of the role is to design, build and support Diligenta’s Network environment entailing development of the data and voice network technical architecture. The post-holder will be responsible for all stages of the process from drawing up the detailed design and implementation plans to conducting the selection, evaluation, installation, and management of the hardware, software, and telecommunications systems to meet business and technical requirements.

In order to be able to fulfil this role effectively, Diligenta wishes to appoint someone who is an experienced technical contributor / subject matter expert with advanced knowledge and experience in the area of local and wide area networking, communications, and related hardware/software. Knowledge of voice communications would be an advantage.

In addition, the post-holder will:

• assist in the diagnosis and correction of application / network problems, and pilots of new technology;
• be able to demonstrate the value an architectural approach adds and hold team briefings to share the network vision and blueprints; and
• maintain and actively manage effective relationships with business partners and service providers

The successful candidate will ideally possess an IT / Computer Sciences or related degree or can demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge through their professional experience.

Previous experience within a network solutions role is essential.

Candidates must be technically competent and demonstrate the following:
• An expert understanding of local area and wide area networking
• A good understanding of voice; video conferencing; unified communications; and CTI

In addition, candidates will also be able to show they have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
